The Business Espionage Controls and Countermeasures Association
BECCA and its members protect businesses from loss of trade secrets and critical and sensitive information through business espionage.
Its aims are to:
- Research and exchange information about business espionage controls and countermeasures.
- Establish and encourage a code of ethics within the profession.
- Promote its professional image within the business community through a Certified Confidentiality Officer (CCO) Programme.
- Educate, train and certify controls and counter measures experts.

BECCA members include business managers, counter espionage and security experts, information security and technical countermeasures managers, and others concerned with espionage issues in both the public and private sectors.
They are concerned with safeguarding critical business secrets and preventing thefts of intellectual property, including property protected by copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
